Introducing SoBristolWeddings

Welcome to Bristol's first online wedding magazine, an inspirational and indispensable guide to getting married in and around the city - from the proposal to the honeymoon.

Soft launched on Monday 7 March 2016, SoBristolWeddings is Bristol’s very first online wedding magazine, helping brides – and a good smattering of grooms – make informed decisions about every aspect of their dream wedding, from the proposal right through to the honeymoon.

Inspirational, indispensable and set to be the most influential guide to getting married in Bristol, the new title is packed with expert insight and on-trend ideas on everything from finding the ultimate venue to picking the perfect dress – not forgetting the other 101 details that go into getting married.

Following on from the success of SoGlosWeddings in nearby Gloucestershire – and the large number of readers visiting the wedding title from across Bristol – SoBristolWeddings’ readers can now expect the same national media-standard wedding editorial, with a targeted new geographical focus.

With an Editorial Hub team led by SoBristolWeddings’ editor Anna McKittrick, exclusive content includes real weddings, guides, features, hot lists, news and interviews, as well as previews of wedding events and fairs, reader competitions and special offers.

Dedicated sections include Venues, Bridalwear & Jewellery, Photography, Flowers, Cakes & Catering, Transport, Entertainment, Hair & Beauty, Specialist Services, Stag & Hen and Honeymoons.

Plus, SoBristolWeddings is also home to the most comprehensive Bristol wedding directory in the industry, so whether you are searching for a Bristol wedding dress boutique, a Bristol wedding venue, a Bristol photographer or a Bristol florist – everything is just a click away.

SoBristolWeddings is the fourth title to be launched by independent digital publishing company, SoPublishing, which has simultaneously soft launched brand new arts and entertainment online magazine SoBristol.

‘With around 10 per cent of SoGlosWeddings’ readers living in Bristol, we knew there was a clear demand for a title specifically written for Bristol’s wedding-planning brides- and grooms-to-be,’ SoPublishing’s group editor Michelle Fyrne said.

‘While launching SoBristolWeddings was an obvious decision to make, creating a stylish, informative and well-researched online magazine packed with professional editorial takes time. We’ve spent the past six months working on the new title, which we hope will become the go-to destination for thousands of happy couples across Bristol.’

SoBristolWeddings’ soft launch gives the online magazine a strategic springboard from which to start building a loyal readership and social media following, introducing the title to key potential advertisers, as well as recruiting Bristol-based sales team members, before SoBristolWeddings is officially launched later this year.

For the very latest, you can join SoBristolWeddings on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram, and don't forget to sign up for the free monthly email newsletter too. To discuss editorial opportunities, email Anna McKittrick on anna@sopublishing.com.
